Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.
Nurse Thembie Sibongile (f)

Thembie has been working at the practice for many years now and provides our patients with comprehensive and holistic care. She is very empathic and patient-centred and is always smiling! This, she states, is because she loves her job and our team of permanent staff.

Thembie provides family planning care, smears, baby and children immunisations and travel advice and vaccinations.

Healthcare Assistants

Mrs Fairouz Putros (f)

Fairouz is a wonderful person with a warm heart. She has vast experience in the NHS and her background is as a lab technician in Algeria. Hence, Fairouz provides new patient checks, NHS health checks, phlebotomy, blood pressure checks and contraceptive reviews. Fairouz also speaks Arabic and French.

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
