Dr Samia Hasan (f)
GP
Has extensive primary care experience having worked as a GP for over 12 years. Her primary interest is to listen to patients and provide best evidence based care for their particular needs. She is the Programme Director for the Imperial GP Training Scheme which means she jointly runs the teaching programme at Imperial College for young doctors who are training to be GPs. She is passionate about teaching and patient care and thus ensuring that future doctors are able to connect with patients and understand not just their medical but psychosocial needs also. Dr Hasan is also the Primary Care Speciality Lead at the NIHR Clinical Research Network. This is the research delivery arm of the NHS, supporting a portfolio of over 5,000 clinical research studies.
Special interests: Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease, Family Planning, Holistic Care, Research, Teaching and Training.
